Club Nights return at Perran Tennis

The LTA and Government have confirmed that ‘club nights‘ are ‘organised sporting activity’s’ and as such are permitted by the government as an exception to the limit of six people and CAN continue as below.

Monday Men’s Practice Night 6-8pm

Wednesday Club Night 6-8pm

Thursday Ladies Team Practice Night 6-7.30pm

Monday Men’s Night has now restarted.
Wednesday Club Night will resume on September 23rd.
Ladies Thursday Team Night will resume this week 10th September.

Please bring £2 when you sign in to cover balls and lights. The lighting will be improved this autumn as the bulbs are being replaced and glass covers cleaned.

Message from your Welfare Officer

Here are some guidelines to follow to make our club nights as safe and as enjoyable as possible.

Please do not attend if you are isolating or if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19.

Always maintain social distancing, especially if waiting to play. (Be aware that undertaking any activity, including tennis, has the potential for increased risk of transmission of COVID-19). Members are advised to bring hand sanitiser/wipes if required and wash hands before and after play.

All participants will be required to ‘sign in’ and provide a contact number for ‘track and trace’ purposes.

On Wednesdays there may be times when you are not playing for 10 or 15 minutes if numbers are high and there may be times when you play with the same people more than once. This is unfortunate but please remember it can be difficult for the volunteer organisers to keep track of who has played who and when! We try to make sure everyone gets a fair amount of play with various partners and opponents.
(Please speak to me or any committee member if you wish to offer your services as a volunteer organiser or helper).

Above all, remember our Wednesday Club Night is inclusive and should be fun for all standards.
