Perranporth A start the season with a 9-2 victory against St Agnes C

Perranporth men Stephen Hawken and James Betty started well going 5-0 up in
the first set, and went on to win the set 6-2, the second set was much
closer, with Stephen and James eventually winning 7-5, against Steph
Narhorski and Jack Hoskings.

Perranporth ladies Mollie Leverton and Sarah Morrison also started well
winning the first set 6-1. The second set was a close fought set with many
deuces, with the Perranporth ladies winning 7-5, against Cairing Edwards and
Jo Wilson.

The mixed matches were then played, with James and Mollie playing as 1st
pair, against Jack and Cairing. James and Mollie lost the 1st set 2-6, and
cameĀ  back to win the 2nd set 7-6 and lost out 8-10 in a close tie break for
the 3rd set.

2nd pair Stephen and Sarah, played Steph and Jo. Although Stephen managed to
lose his serve to start the match, the Perranporth players then played
consistently and won the next 12 games to win 6-1, 6-0.
