This first event of the year, played on the hard courts of Perran Tennis got off to a chilly start, though the sun eventually broke through. Playing the T4 format competitors competed in matches of four games. Sudden death deuce and a tie-break at 2-2 were featured. In recent footage Federer and Djokovic were seen to contest a match in T4.
Both winners from last year were carrying injuries Sheona Burns finishing third in ladies, whilst Steve Hawken had to withdraw in pole position.
Frazer Tuffnell and Rob Pippin had to play off as joint runners-up with Frazer moving through to the final. In an exciting final Alison Legg and Paul Taylor took the trophy with Pippa Matta and Frazer coming a close second.
