Perran Tennis Junior Tournament

Last Friday saw the fifth junior tournament of the summer holidays to take place at Perran Tennis. Bathed in sunshine the twenty five players competed in two sections – orange ball (reduced court) and yellow ball (full court). Seven rounds were completed by each player in the orange group and eight rounds by the yellow ball group.

Results from the Orange Ball Section

Third place was shared by Alfie (visitor from the Wirrel) and Lucinda Hawken each accumulating 30 points. The runner-up was Katie Humphreys with 32 points. The orange ball champion this week was Matthew Upton with 33 points.

Results from the Yellow Ball Section

Fourth place went to Jay Elford with 31 points. Above Jay, Amber Thomson was placed third with 32 points. A great performance saw Katie Martin take the runners-up slot with 35 points. The outstanding performance of Sonni Poulter secured the medal with a points tally of 40.

Medals were presented by Club President Dave Pell to the winners Sonni and Matthew.
