Perran A victorious against St Austell 8-3

The Perran A winter mixed team were away to St Austell on Sunday and won 3
of the 4 matches.

Perran men Stephen Hawken and James Betty secured a 6-2, 6-4 win against
Matt Davies and Peter Millbank. The Perran Ladies, we’re not on best form,
with the steady play from the St Austell ladies Karen Goodlet and Tracey
Johns, winning them the match 6-4, 6-3.

Perran mixed 1st pair James and Mollie had a close fought match against Matt
and Tracey, eventually coming through to win 7-6, 4-6, 10-5 (tie break).

Perran 2nd pair Stephen and Sarah, won 6-2, 6-2, although it was in fact a
much closer fought match than the score would indicate as there was many
deuces in some games.
