Dear Member

As we are all aware, the UK Prime Minister recently announced further restrictions due to the continuing Coronavirus pandemic which obliged Perran Tennis Club to shut down until further notice.

Perran Tennis Club is registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club relying, in the main, on membership subscriptions to cover the costs of running the Club.

However none of us know how long this shut down will last and we now have to consider how we fairly deal with membership subscriptions that have both already been paid and are yet to be paid.

Having discussed this issue over a conference call and subsequent e-mails, the Management Committee has decided to suspend all further Member subscriptions with immediate effect until we are able to re-open the Club.

• Proportionate adjustments will be made to the fees to account for complete months the Club has been closed.

• If you have already paid, you will be contacted in due course for proportional refunds to be arranged.

As last year, priority to join will be given to existing Members and an adjusted deadline for receipt of applications will be advised.

Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time and if you have any queries regarding this message please direct them by e-mail to our Treasurer – Alison Luck on

Kind regards
Peter Lampier – Chairman
