Perran Tennis host Truro in their first home match for decades
Nov 2013

Perran hosted a strong Truro side on Sunday in the County Mixed Tennis League. After the driving rain and strong winds subsided Perran Tennis decided to go ahead with their home fixture. James Betty (captain) shuffled the side and left himself out to give more players their first taste of league action. Representing Perran Jeremy Bradley and Nick Walker took to the court with Sheona Burns and Kate Coles.

Although the games were close the experienced Truro side came out on top, deservedly so. Perran Tennis are rotating players this winter to give as many players experience possible leading up to the summer, when they will enter a men’s and ladies team. Although not gaining a set and going down 0.10 much was learned.

The players all enjoyed the days tennis and commented on how friendly their opponents were. Next week Perran Tennis travel to St Austell.
