Perran Tennis holds first Junior Tournament of the Holidays

The first junior competition of the holidays took place in very wet conditions on Friday. The event was switched from the grass courts to the hard courts. This did not deter the intrepid players of Perran Tennis. Six rounds were completed with numerous rain breaks. No more than eight points separated all the competitors which gave the organisers Steve Luck and Dave Pell quite a dilemma as two players tied for third slot! The competition was won by up and coming junior Martha Marney with 34 points, closely followed by Samuel Legg with 30 points. The third place was shared by Maddison Pippin and Sebastian Bartlett accumulating 28 ½ points each. The four medal winners are shown in the photograph.

Any junior is welcome to play in the remaining four tournaments held on Friday afternoons. Further information may be sought from Club Coach Steve Luck 07860 446209.
